UK Trade Mission, London – Birmingham, March 2010
Mr. Mario Reyes, General Manager of our company, was invited to represent Full House S. A. and Sarh Bioindustrias in an event organized by the British Embassy, InnovaChile (CORFO) and GrupoBios, as part of a commercial exchange program for companies dedicated to the use and development of biotechnologies in the food industry. The mission program included several dissemination visits whose aim was to create new business opportunities and leads for Chile and the United Kingdom as well as to introduce and strengthen commercial links between both markets.
The main focus of the trip was the progress and developments achieved in biotechnology in the agro and food industries through visits to public entities such as the laboratories of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) – UK government department responsible for policy and regulations on the environment, food and rural affairs, UKTI – the Department for the Promotion of Trade and Investment and the Biotechnology Department of University of Birmingham. Furthermore, meetings were held with relevant companies active in the area of biotechnologies, as well as an extensive visit to Foodex trade show and a presentation on IP protection – all the above aimed at introducing the Chilean participants to the varied and competitive market of biotechnology in Great Britain.
These activities offer better opportunities for technological exchanges and the creation of new business opportunities in the biotechnology market of which Full House S. A. is a leader and a reference point in the country.
More information on the trade mission and participants can be found at the website of the British Embassy in Santiago.

Full House has created a new multipurpose external use antidote for spider toxins which prevents tissue proteolysis and the spread of the poison.
The biotechnological base of this antidote includes the recognition of more than six enzymes that make up the poison of the Loxosceles species which cause the permeability of the plasmatic membrane, connective tissue degradation, protein hydrolysis and dermal necrosis.
The poison can invade blood vessels spreading to different organs and causing serious system problems that potentially can lead to kidney failure, comma, hypotension, haemolytic anaemia and liver failure which, in turn, can cause death.
Full House does a poison extraction protocol which avoids electrostimulation of the arachnid, called Voluntary Poison Extraction thanks to which the extracted aliquot is more natural and allows to create more effective antidotes.

On March 9 Marisa, one of the most popular singers of the New Wave culture trend in Chile, visited our company. Her performances and tours won her the Silver Seagull Prize (Gaviota de Plata) at the International Viña del Mar Festival. In 1964 she achieved one of her biggest successes with a version of Antonio Zabaleta´s song “Tú cambiarás”. Currently, she keeps on singing and performing a popular repertoire with famous songs such as “Llorando en el andén”, “Luna lunera”, “Si me miran a los ojos” and “Ruego”, among others.
Recently Marisa put together her best songs on a promotional disc and presented it at our laboratory.
Full House staff members thanks to Marisa for her visit and wish her the best of luck in achieving the success she deserves.Read the entire article
