Bioshave

Presentatin of Bioshave®
A biological enzymatic additive that improves health conditions in the salmon industry.
Product features
- It is a two-phase natural origin liquid, which is also non-poisonous or bio-cumulative.
- Described as non-dangerous substance; reviewed by Dr. Laura Börgel, expert in toxicology and Technical Secretary of RITA Chile (Network of Toxicology and Surveillance Information); and approved by the National Normalization Institute – the Chilean technical standards institute.
- Obtained from live organism culture, extraction and subsequent stabilization of enzymes and antimicrobial peptides which permitted to formulate the product in suspension enriched with 100% available vegetables phospholipids.
- It inhibits Saprolegnia sp. growth post application, proving to be biochemically active when dealing with the above-mentioned parasitic disease and can be used as preventive treatment.
- It contains enzymes that hydrolyze Saprolegnia cellular wall, made up by cellulose–chitin, forming glucose and acetylglucosamine respectively. This guarantees the specific destruction of the pathogen with harmless effects for the fish.
- Not traceable, this way permitting to maintain the quality of the final product and at the same time leading to scar formation thus avoiding re-infection.
- It has a protective effect on the gills, causing less stress in the fish and means less energy spent.
Usage
For the application of this product we recommend 1-hour baths, although its efficiency has been verified after 20 minutes of application. The recommended dose is 40 ml to 65 ml per m3 depending on the conditions of the culture, prior shaking of the product and dilution in 20 l of water.
