Features and benefits of Bioshave on the AquaTIC journal (Spain)

The leading scientific journal AquaTIC of the Spanish Aquaculture Society, published in volume #34 (2011) a work prepared in 2010 by the research team of Full House: Mario Reyes, Nelly Díaz, Andrés Fuentes, Nicolás Favi and Elías Vera . The title of this work is “Increasing the regenerative rate in epithelial tissue of zebrafish (Brachydanio rerio) and rainbow trout (Onchorynchus mikiss) with an enzyme zootechnical additive” and shows a test to evaluate the benefits of Bioshave product developed by Full House for the treatment of Saprolegnia sp. in fish farms, accelerating the rate of regeneration of the epithelial tissue of the fish. For product evaluation is used the zebrafish (Brachydanio rerio) and rainbow trout (Onchoryunchus mikiss) in vitro.

The test results reveals the following product features of Bioshave:

• Generates an increase in the rate of regeneration of epithelial tissue of the trout.
• Heals the skin of the fish and regenerates large portions of lost meat.
• Fish treated with Bioshave have a higher refresh rate than their counterparts not treated with the product.
• The product does not generate stress to the fish.
• The fish not treated with Bioshave die a few days after having a cut near the tail fin.
• Bioshave adheres to the wound of the fish, protecting and promoting tissue regeneration.
• The product protects the wounds of the fish against infections.

Further studies will be conducted to analyze the action generated by the Bioshave product in the fish body.

New invention patent from Full House

Innovation and development continues in our team: Mario Reyes has made the market entry of a new patented product with bactericidal, bacteriostatic and fungicidal properties using two living species of Trichoderma, together with a hydroalcoholic extract of Rubus sp. This innovative product helps to protect plants, soil, seeds, fruits and trees against damage from insect pests and pathogens that affect the quality and health of agricultural and ornamental crops.

The commitment from Full House to the community is aimed again to the development of innovative technologies and final products through the use and application of biotechnology, allowing the production of organic and free-of-traces products, with high efficiency and environmental compatibility.

Research and development programs for aquaculture area

Within the organizational structure of Full House is the Research and Development Area, where new discoveries are done in order to make possible new techniques, and to study its subsequent implementation. The company is currently working on three interesting research programs for the aquaculture area:

• Tissue regeneration.
• Reduction of growing time for trout and salmon.
• Development of an antiviral.

Full House seeks to strengthen the work in the productive and academic sectors in the country, in order to foster knowledge and applications of biotechnology.

Evaluations and works made by Full House on ecotoxicology

Ecotoxicology is a branch of toxicology that gained more relevance in recent years because it’s closely related to the protection and restoration of the environment, which is one of the most serious problems faced by developed and developing countries.

Full House is closely linked to the aquaculture and agriculture development, and it has the materials and professionals to make assessments of agricultural products or any other possible environmental contaminants, thus ensuring the preservation of the ecosystem.

Our company is dedicated to assembly and standardization of ecotoxicological tests, using biological indicators such as fish, seaweed, bees and microcrustaceans among others, and taking into account the requirements set by major international regulatory agencies.
